      Ok, here we are:

The motor is nearly finished: Aron's H-profile conrods are in, new piston rings, bearings, RS2 EM, 7A exhaust camshaft, and so on.

      My todays question:

Will it be safe to run RS2 hardware on standard 220V intercooler and exhaust (no cats) ?

So, I have RS2 EM, 034 RS2 replica injectors, 7A fuel pressure regulator, 3 bar MAP, software for 3b>RS2, RS2 turbo. I definitely plan to upgrade to bigger IC and 3" exhaust later, but is it safe to run it on stock IC and exhaust for now ?

      Thank you,
      Mario

On an RS2 map? I'd say to be safe you'd have to run on wastegate only boost. Your charge temp will be high increasing detonation chances if you push that spec with that little IC.

OK, nothing without FMIC then. How about stock exhaust, given I have no cats?

Use the RS2 bearings everywhere! Mate I HIGHLY recommend you to recheck all the head, change the valve guides and stuff, check for leaks on the all 20valves, and do it a internal cleaning job (port it too if it's possible!! ). Remeber something, if you rebuild the bottom end of the engine, don't forget the upper zone..or it'll give problems on a near future! Cheers!!

Just a quick question: since I now have AAN block, does the tube for oil dipstick have rubber seal to sit on ?
I didn't get that tube, nor dipstick, so I'm looking for it.

                Thank you,
                Mario

Some news: engine is up and running now, I have done about 2000 km after rebuild. Only problem I'm experiencing is that it usually runs around 100 degree celsius (used to be around 90). I have non-Bosch water temperature sensor, could that be the cause ?
                  Few pictures of FMIC "solution":

                        We shall see tomorrow.

Kidding; it fits, but with some cuts. Will take pictures tomorrow.

Tried the car today. It works, but I have lean mixture at wide open throttle.
My first suspect was vacuum line on fuel pressure regulator, but it is on.
                          FPR is from 7A, 4bar.

Next come fuel pump: I have 1 year old VDO fuel pump in car, should it be enough to support some 350HP as I expect from engine ?

I have another fuel pump, Bosch 0580254040. Found some places on net where this one is declared as appropriate for RS2. Anyone tried it ?

                          Thank you,
                          OrMar

I think I bought this one as "RS2 pump" on ebay. Should I use this one ?

Bumber is on. However, that pipe is a little bit on a low side:
