how to get good power from an s2 350+

dunno weather this is the correct area to put this , but i have had a browse through and taken in what i can
bassically i have a golf rallye running an audi tt 20v engine with loads done , big turbo etc I am selling it to fund an s2 buid

my first question is , can the factory managment be remapped
my aim is 350+ but with room to expand ,
so obviously rods pistons internal mods etc
tubular mani, gt30 (ish) , injectors etc

in what steps do you guys do , i was thinking about a simple chip , exhaust etc to begin with , just get some use out of it until i start to get more power later in the year, problem was i buiklt the rallye all at once as 350hp so never did noticed the difference as i went lol

    what do you recomend?
ps i can make and fab stuff (ali, stainless, mild)and have no problem with doing any of the work my self

(mods please move if need be)

You can get 350 bhp a piece of p*ss with the following:

    RS2 Injectors:
    RS2 Turbo:
    Wagner EVO RS2 exhaust Manifold:
Larger Intercooler: RS2,Wagner or Ebay special
Generic RS2 ECU upgrade: S2central Homefries or MRC High Boost chip + 3bar MAP sensor upgrade.

No internal engine upgrade required this will get you 350ish or just below depending on exhaust system.

To got to 380bhp add a 3 inch downpipe and exhaust system

i would staight away be building a custom 3" exhaust any way
and would fit a custom front mount .
what sort of power will standard internals be good for

so i guess for a easy/1st quick step , use an rs2 turbo, injectors 3 bar sensor, and relvant generic chip

To say it clear, the standard ECU ist using EPROM-Chips, there is no option to do a chiptuning by just a flash.

Yep, it's torque that kills internals

You can go to 420-450 bhp by using a Garrett 3071r and slightly larger injectors.

Add to that list a Bosch 044 fuel pump and your laughing

Custom remap is the way to go if your after more than 380 BHP.

Swirl pot not needed for that level of power.

Your car can be real time mapped by MRC or Automark but the generic homefry and MRC chips are damn hard to beat for value for the RS2 setup.

on my rallye i run the "standard " intank pump to feed a "reservoir" then an 044 from that
so loads of people just mount the 044 in the tank on an s2 ? ill do that then lot less work envolved!

350-380bhp territory and heaps of torque - depends how aggressive you want it with boost really... This level of oomf doesn't really need a Bosch 044 pump of course, but it does help in the 'headroom' department so you know you aren't ragging a tired old stock pump on its last legs.

always run an 044 pump, good and reliable , safer to be pumping more fuel throught the rail than not enough!

so 350-380 would be possible with rs2 bolt on parts with a chip or map, would i need rods , some say yes some say no (from what i read on posts), i got no problem doing rods if needbe,
just trying to work out a plan of action,

The RS2 turbo is more than capable of bending stock rods, to run it on stock rod's youd need to get the torque tuned down, but you could still run it at 350bhp without bending the rods,
