I couldn't see any problems before and after fitment on mine. Didn't have to alter anything on the map

Only trial and error if you'd see a difference.

In heatsoak matters the phebolic spacer really does work. I could see a drop of >10C when compared to the Wagner manifold without the spacer. One of the best things I have ever fitted on the car.

Having said that, the OEM IAT sensor does 7C jumps in temperature and motronic knows that. Perhaps it may not have been that big of an issue with motronic as it was with vems and the 1.8T sensor which measures temp. By 1C steps.

Asked in another thread but what about just using 2 IM gaskets as a cheat's way to isolate things a bit more?

How thick is the Phenolic spacer? Does it cause any issues with the TB hose on a stock IM?
Hmmm. Not sure. But I would assume you could make the holes of the metal hose a bit oval and allow for it to compensate for the elevation.
