Audi quattro 2.5ltr stroker project (finally) ps long term

:happy1::big1:I just bought a quattro 1981 mod. It has been standing for 15years. Not moved and inch, well as i have a profound love for these cars, i just had to buy her.
And i got here for under 1500gbp. Thats a good deal.
Its been driven only 136 000km, and is like new inside, well we went to pick her up, and the owner had put on the handbrake[-o< we prayed that she wouldnt be stuck (yeah right) Stuck as a pig.
we jacked her up and, took of the wheels, and loosend the brakes, she was rolling:car9:
So finally we got here to my workplace and, reliefed her of her old licquids and put new in, new battery in place, used the steel brush on the spark plugs, and FIRST turn of the key she started...... :happy1:// What a car...
So the plans now are to, get her some new brakes, brake lines, fuel lines, and sort out the running gear. then get her welded as good as new, as there was some rust, but not as bad, as i thought. I am happy happy.
Pleas dont hate me, but i will make her as original on the outside, but it will get uppgraded brakes, and it will get a 2.5ltr stroker 20vt, with motec standalone.
will go for 500-600hp. If i can get it streetable enough, as i want to drive it sometimes also to and from work.
So thats it so far, will post some pics shortly... :3dblob3:

I'd say that was a good deal for 1500 quid, even in the currant economic climate. Looks pretty straight as well, though it would benefit from a good respray. I look forward to reading about your progress,.

Just out of curiosity did she come with any history?

            i

think its not an 81 as, its missing the dual headlights and it does not have the, wires for the diff locks, it has air. so thinking 82-83 somewhere, will check vin nr today.
