    12 months later......

took my avant off the road last June, its been 12 months of hard slog (on and off!)
But she's back with 12 months MOT, and it really does feel like new - no seriously, LIKE NEW! I've never driven a 15 year old car that felt so tight, precise, and lurvely to drive

So the car was a pretty big mess underneath, bit is now like new - nothing has been left, its cost me £2758.05 (not that I'm counting or anything ) and probably 150 hrs labour but its worth every penny. so here's a list of the last 12 months:

All 4 subframe mount bushes replaced
Koni rear shocks fitted (set to softest setting)
Rear top wishbone bushes replaced with Powerflex (3 sets per side)
    Both rear wheel bearings replaced
Rust cure & repaint rear wheel arches (Bilt Hamber & POR15)
Rust cure & repaint underneath from gearbox back to rear valence (Bilt Hamber & POR15)
Rust cure & repaint whole rear apron (Bilt Hamber & POR15)

Fuel tank refitted with new filter and checked for leaks before bolting up tight - all ok
Rear diff mount bushes replaced with Audi OEM
    Paint front grill matt black
Rear bottom inner wishbone bushes replaced with Powerflex
Rear bottom outer bushes replaced with new Audi OEM
    Both handbrake cables replaced

Lovely job I will be thinking of these images while drilling out my camber bolt!

Two questions, where did you get the ARB support brackets from? And got any pics of the upper a-arms with bushings installed?

    Cheers, Mark.
