The only thing is, after having the digital a/c in my UrS4 with it's freezing functions and display, and the numerous sticky flap motors (there's a joke there somewhere..), The S2's twiddly knobs were a refreshing revelation!
Damn thing never works when you want it to
91CQ20v - Gone to a new home
93UR-S4 - The Magic Carpet
94S2Bus - The Emerald Express
That was the plan Pete Stupid Audi giving us in the UK knobs instead of buttons, what they trying to say???
Don't feel too bad - we weren't singled out in UK market - the entire RHD marketplace got twiddly knobs instead of the digital climate system... For a lot of work you can upgrade to it though. Would love to someday but damn its a long list.

Ahh, the list!
Mine is getting stupid! And thinking of adding an UR to it soon.
I think the easiest way would be to buy a b4 80 with auto aircon as a donor. So you would get all the needed parts plus could see how the system and electrics are assembled. I think that the avant S2's have similar electrics than b4 80, so the "newer" digitally controlled ac should not be that difficult to install. It will still take numerous hours. You would have to remove the dash completely and the engine, maybe right front wing. And the front, bumper etc.
I've currently got everything required to fit it to a car, airbox/sensors/wiring/headunit etc plus I managed to get a brand new rs2 face that surrounds the headunit...... jamo's been enquiring about it so he might be having it if not its all up for sale.
