Today i had got to use my mates work shop so fitted my new omp bucket seats, and put a new steering damper on, which was not a nice job not a great deal of room down the back of the damper.

Have you skimmed smth off of that plastic holder or used an original one (if so, then maybe VAG code available?) ?

hello, i got a bosch 040 pump and then went to my local audi garage and got these

            Reservoir: 895 201 779 H
            Strainer: 895 201 531 A
            Adapter (Banjo) N 903 307 01
            Sealing Washers (x2) N 013 812 8
M12x1.5 Dome Nut (in place of damper)

i built it up befor i took old one out, the 044 will not fit in the original basket, so you will need above parts.

Making good progress there... Have you thought to a false floor on the drivers side ?

I've only got size 8 feet here, but I noticed a helluva drop in comfort to the pedals with the bare floor as the felt and carpet adds nearly an inch. I'm thinking of an alloy plate for mine (nicely drilled & flared) to create a false floor - its pretty common practice in rally cars for example. You can get generic ones from likes of Sparco & OMP but wouldn't be hard to create one from scratch if you wanted.

Let me know what thickness you end up for something nice and stiff... It is quite a difference in height there. The other common application you'll see for that alloy plating is to create something for a co-pilot to brace against in the footwell.

I went to local scrap merchants and picked up a sheet of checker plate for my footwells, £5 for a 3x4 feet sheet, mate cut it with plasma cutter
bolted to floor but with a few nuts under to space it up, I like it and i ve size 10 feet
