RS4 exhaust on S2 Avant

Well wasnt sure were to put this but thought it would be good for any other Avant owners thinking of changing exhaust and on a budget lets say ..

About to start changing the exhaust over on the avant as I had advisory on last MOT of slight indication of leak on rear box ..so had read on here about fitting RS4 exhaust as MOD (Jay) , so thought what the hell I will have a go at that

I had looked at replacing the system with S/S and there was not much change from £400-£450 and with me been penny pitching scotsman I decided to put a thread on the wanted section in RS246 forum if anyone had old RS4 exhaust lying about that they upgraded ...luckly enough I had a few PMs and got a full system from Hull Audi for £50!!

The exhaust arrived at the start of the week is in good condition so quite happy ...

Fitment looks like i will have to move hangers slightly and cut section that connects to CATs from old system to mate up with RS4 exhaust ...Hopefully straight forward

Aye he said he met you, I was working unfortunatly looks like there was some nice cars from the piks I have seen.

How is the diameter on the rs4 exhaust compared to the s2 out of curiosity?

Also last day of the month; I am probably due you another visit to spend my next paycheck

The only real restriction is the middle box, its a B5 S4 box, the pipe work steps down to go through the box and up again after the box.

That said if its good for 380 on a six pot it should suite your needs if you want to go above 420 replace the middle box with a 3"..

Had a closer look tonight as prepping up for tomorrow and see what you mean about the centre box but compared to the OEM should be a good difference..was amazed at the width should have way better flow
