Is the main wiring loom from your coupe compatible with the engine? Is it a 3b engine?

Did you get the ecu from the dona car too?

Sounds like you got a bargain and a very good base for your project car.

Ok, point taken! Thats impressive.

The ECU under the glove box is the engine ECU, the one under the rear seat was probably for the servotrnic power steering or abs.

Someone else on here will be able to tell you if the loom is compatible or if it needs modification.

AFAIK you can make a hybrid loom from the 200 and the coupe or buy a european 3b lhd loom for a plug an play option. There should be a few people on here who can tell you what biuts you need.

I would also check out motorgeek as it is US based and there are loads of 200 3b engines in coupe quattros

it will be great to have another S2 state side.. I'm actually doing the exact same thing as you are. I brought a URS4 complete with the motor and all... I also have been speaking Ruffiano ( here is his thread.. http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=36093) Great guy to speak with and he's a load of help..
I sourced things out on this web site and also ebay.de

As for the engine harness.. its possible to do connections and all but it will be a pain. you have to source out a wireharness from germany (MOTORKABLEMBAUM) from a S2/RS2 and then you could do plug and play.. Just make sure it has the AUX cables also...

What the different between the 3B / ABY / ABU engine loom?
Seems to me it’s much easier to find a LHS ABY loom then a 3B.

I think you could go with a ABY loom. I was told to find a RS2/s2 loom to make life easier. if you want to be sure you could contact www.s2central.net and speak to Paul and he will let you know. He also has a PDF of the wire harness (rs2) for easy install.if you have any questions you could also email me..
I will be doing the swap withing a couple of weeks. I ordered my harness and waiting for that to come in....

is the Audi S2 RS2 ADU ABY will be good for my 3B engine (from 1991 200 qt) ?
is this what i need to fire the engine up?

I would have thought you want a lhd 3b s2 loom as your car is left hand drive coupe and your engine/ecu is a 3b.

An aby/adu has coil on plug and a 3b has a dizzy so loom will be different, ecus are different as well, I dont think an aby loom would be ideal.

A 3B köteg elég sok ponton eltér az 5 trafós kötegtől,nemigazán tudod kényelmesen használni.Persze ha szétszeded és "átpineled" megoldható...

De hát miért nem veszel inkább egy jó motorvezérlőt tőlem?
