S2 with A8 transplant

Winter/summer ...no sleep. Been busy with my 1985 Audi 90 track car, so have done very little work since the last post so thanks for the reminder.

Made fiber glass front fenders so that I could create wider versions to fit over the 140 mm wider track. Also made some fibreglass fenders for the rear, based on some super wide Mazda Capella fenders, which will be used as a basis to get the curves right for the rear.

But otherwise not much work done on this project.

Hopefully will make some significant progress starting in a one or two.

I remember reading this thread when you started it. Phenomenal work, have you any update for us?

Yep have been a bit busy with other projects. 90 track car, another S2 and busy scrapping a URS4 and transplanting the engine the engine into a 1991 Audi 90 (FWD), whcih will one day be a IMSA 90 replica. Salvaged the URS4 front fenders for this project.(S2/V8). A fibreglass version should do nicely to address the wider track of this project car.

So have not given up on this project yet .. just not enough time.

Change in plans. The idea of putting a V8 in this S2 has been changed.

Plan now, is a track car with a AAN pushing a mild 350 Hp to start. Think It best to start a new thread for future progress. See S2 track car with A8/A4/susp & AAN engine

Plan is still to use A8 rear subframe, documented in this thread (will need to change diff to URS4). Front A8 subframe and A4 B5 shock towers.

My other project B3 conversion to AAN quattro http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=61849 will now get the V8 but that will have to wait a while.
