    4.2L v8 audi 90 quattro

I'm mainly posting about this on motorgeek. However here are a few pictures. I'll have pictures of the engine bay in a few weeks. This car will be forsale once completed. I'm building another one for myself.

Engine mounts that work with the v8 swap and 5 cylinder applications. I will be using 034 track or street density transmission mounts as the rubber damper.

            It's getting there.

I went a little mad tonight and ordered a bunch of parts. It be nice to get this thing closer to done and running for spring. I tell yah it's really nice not to have to deal with any S2 engine parts and needing things from europe. I've been down that road. I'm done with it.

Your car will be finished and so will mine. I can't wait to get it started. I have 1 cable left to hook up.

The driver side 5/8" 90 degree is going to be replaced with a 5/8" to 1/2" jic/AN reducer. But it helped visualize where I was going with the oil cooler lines.

                  Front end is allmost done.

The biggest task left is downpipes and electronics.

I relocated the remote mount from the inner frame rail to the fender. I'm much happier with the setup:

I've allready got a motronic setup for the engine. Plus an adapter harness that vems will plug into the motronic setup. Ontop of that i got bored and started making my own harness for just vems. It's been an interesting battle and learning experience so far. Never in my right mind did I think i be doing this stuff, this being said I don't have a right mind anymore.

Two v8 motor projects, and now I got a free vr6 motor today. I was in a long term relationship until it ***** the bed. Now that I'm single and staying single for quite a while I'm going to float around with the idea of building a business on the side of what I do for a living which is a family business and basically something I can't really walk away from it. So I work in the day and then at night now in the garage I rent.

Plans? v8 for me and the black 1995 90 quattro. I'd like to keep it, but I don't mind selling it at some point. V8 # 2 is getting closer and closer to duplicating engine one setup will be put in another b3/b4 plaform car and sold. Vr6 "may" go in a small chassis car but i'm leaning towards putting it in a URS6 avant chassis or URS4.

Busy busy. It's a slow process and my normal job isn't alot of $$$ making but i'm having fun these days and that's all that matters.

The story behind the 12v VR6? I went to drop off a metal desk off at the local metal yard and I saw it there so I had them put it in the van. Engine looks good so far. I took it apart and took the head off and it's clean inside. So it's just a long block and it's missing a good amount of parts but i'll get them at the junk yards while i'm pulling other parts from time to time.

"IF" the radiator, oil cooler, front cross member, fans fit with the vr6 engine. I'll consider building this black sedan for both setups. I'll add bulkhead connectors to the firewall and basically pulling the v8 engine and putting the vr6 engine in there will be somewhat easy. So an engine bay harness for the v8 setup, one for the vr6 setup, and then little stuff to deal with like power steering lines, fuel lines, heater core hoses, etc.

Why? not sure yet if i do it but as far as building some engine setups and car setups I will try it out to see how things line up.

I'm local to you and was wondering if you had any more information on this swap in regards to wiring it and an exhaust system
