    557 AWHP, 456 wtq.

finally got down to the dyno shop to pick up the files.... this is run 18. run 19 we hit 45psi (3.11 BAR) by 5700 rpm and lifted the head, that was the first 4th gear run. and yes, that is 45 PSI above atmospheric.

but this is reall a nice curve if i have to say.... at least it is for me.

run 18, 3rd gear. 7700 rpm. from ~5800 til end i was >500 AWHP with a peak of 559. and from 6800 to 7700 it was >550 AWHP. and torque peaked @ 456 wtq right around 6k .

this run was done in 3rd gear, and was only requested to pul 4k to 7800 rpm. this motor is normally turned to 8500 rpm.

did i forget to mention its only a 4cyl 20v? (i know how you guys love the 5cyl stuff over there i just have way too much 4cyl stuff to do anything else LOL)

here is a lil vid of hitting and holding ~39 psi....

and have decided that instead of furthering the tune on race gas (C-16 is 117 OCT US ratings) and wasting time and money, i will put the 160lb/1600cc injectors in and switch to E-85 now instead of later.

this will make more power, cleaner charge burn, and even provide a cooler charge as well. the cost alone is much worth it.

Race gas (C-16) is $16/gal USD
          E-85 is $2.35/gal USD.

although it takes ~30% more fuel to make the same results, the benefits are multifold. i was going to wait until the solid lifter motor was completed to do this move, but i may as well now.
