found MTM S2 coupe in bits!

I was down getting a car dyno'ed at Ajec racing yesterday and noticed a green coupe shell in the corner, turns out its already had an MTM conversion but is now being build for the AAA (Ajec AWD Achaemy) to compete with Evos, Scoobies etc..

Here's a pic of how it looked before, any one recognize it?



I've attached a couple of pics of what it sat like yesterday when i spotted it. They definately needs a front screen, single clutch & flywheel and some wishbone bushes if anyone can help?

Also, full black leather interior for sale from it when i can get some pics, I'll post in the FS section tho..

Yes it was for sale on pistonheads twice for about 12k or something which we scoffed at as a forum as it was way too over priced.

Makes sense I guess Frasier has bought this engine?

What made them...Ajec choose this heavy old lump to racing with...could prove a very useful test bed?

Thats the thing Carlos, it'll being stripped & lightened to ******y and they wanted something a bit "different" to go up with the Jap stuff.

I'd guess that a quattro car is different to drive than anything else you mentioned, suppose like all things different, it has advantages and disadvantages, at least it's made of stronger stuff than some of the Jap stuff

that was just first dyno run with the new turbos etc so was running a base map that has had lots of tweaks since. It was only running low boost of about 0.9 BAR for that run, figure was still 579.7BHP in 4th gear tho, will be well into the 600's when we can get it to hold a steady 1.4 - 1.2 BAR. Trust me tho, on the road with the new turbos, it spools up from nothing...it is f000kin rapid and sounds like a fighter jet now with the DP's on..
