    Hey.. nice wheels. cool car

I've got a set of Borbet A's on my type 85 CQ. They are 16 x 7.5 i think. tires are the ones that came with them, 195 50 16, but they scrub

Do you think if I change to 195 45 16 it will stop the scrubbing?

I'm still looking for someone with an old tire to trial fit and see if it clears or not.

Sorry for the slow responses guys...

MGaz - Changing to a 45 profile could certainly help as it will angle the tyre walls in slightly but it really depends on where the tyres are scrubbing. I suggest looking at your tyres and under the arches when you return from a journey where the tyres have scrubbed so you can locate where the contact is being made. I could have fitted pretty much any tyre size to mine but the wheel with and the offset meant I had to do arch work.....you may have to do the same.

Skid - I can't tell you exactly how far the car has been lowered as it's on coilovers but based on the range of the coilies I would say approximately 50mm front and 40mm rear
