The S2-project got a new impulse!

After some months of neglecting the S2 due some problems in the relational sphere with my now ex-gf heheh, I finally found the time and spirit to work on the S2. And got some things finished also.

Repaired the leaking fuellines. Ordered some more goodies.
Put in some USA rearlights, nice and red. Looking good on a black Coupe.

The RS2 mirrors were painted this week, yesterday I've mounted them, looking good!

My Alpine 7998 is broken. Brought it to a service center, and they gonna repair it. Such a nice headunit, oldskool but sounds great on the Jehnerts and Audisons. Put in a 15 year old Pioneer unit until the Alpine is repaired. The install is playing again, and not so bad.

Also installed my 3spoker S2 steering wheel. Still had the stock airbagwheel installed, and not willing to pay so much money for a 17 year old 3spoker airbag steering wheel. So also an oldskool solution, no more airbag. Will think about it, maybe if I find a complete airbagsteering wheel for not too much...
In the picture you can see my steeringwheel, RS2 shifter, oldskool Pioneer and the boostgauge from Gerd.

On that picture you can also see a small piece of the Vems unit that I installed this week. Install went smooth, got contact with the ECU in the first try, but the car doesn't start. Got fuel, and sometimes some big bangs in the exhaust. Have to check some more things, but the car still starts fine on Motronic.

Clearing out the back for the amplifiers learned me, that I still have some work to do...

New control arms front and rear, steering arms, one more ball joint, silicon vac lines, wiper motor and arms, solid subframe bushes, triangular window rubbers, 034 snubber etc...

          Thanks for the thumbs up!

Don´t like that steering wheel mate... Heheh. It´s too slick for me.

It must be a Audi 3spoker airbag if I would replace it. It´s fine for now, and has 0 priority.
