well you will be pleased,
deal with the shell fell through! DOH!
also the trouble i have is my A4 is an Every day hack, so hoooj horsepowers would be expensive and nasty 1.3 miles to work, and not good on the motor.
looking for another saff shell and one i secure one i will report back chaps
p.s i didnt do a mk2 golf or corrado as they`ve been done lads!

Give it a bash for me, as others have said it will be an interesting read....most of us on here are petrol heads I think and as long as Audi are in there somewhere...

saxo's to some maybe classy cars. its each to their own i think on this.
personally i would crush every saphy there is but like i say if you want it go for it. its not about anybody else.Leave a comment:

I build beetles really but am interested in all builds. Surely being into cars means people can appreciate all builds and saphire cossies aren't a run of the mill Saxo with halfords stuff stuck to it so people
should like itLeave a comment:

Sounds interesting, stroker would be cool to see in RWD getting all the low down torque to the tarmac. What would be the plan for the gearbox? If high torque and rpm surely a T5 wouldn't be up to the task?
However if wanted a cossie engine from a audi would not have go V6TT out a B5Leave a comment:

cant see why you would want to use a ford shell unless they are your car love which they may be being a ford man.
personally if i was going for a funny one id look for a corrado as thats my thing and the chassis is fantastic and fit it in there. would be a better balance in the saphy though.
as with any project if its what you want to do, go for it mate.Leave a comment:

Project Oddball £0.02
I'd be intrested to see project oddball, the details of integrating the looms & wiring in general would be a good read. Also it's be cool to know what you think of the power delivery compared to a similar setup cossie engine.Leave a comment:

i will genuinly keep posted on both the A4 and saff fronts,
i am so sorry you had akmed bungle tamper with your car and i hope you get someone less likely to blow your motor up see to it some time soon.
(personal experience allows me to mention above comments! dodgy mapping = holes in pistons and cracking excuses from affore mentioned mapper!)Leave a comment:

Hi,
I think being this is an Audi forum, it should be quite obvious what most people will advise and prefer. Having said that, any interesting project that is Audi based would still be welcome. Before I knew of the exixtence of this forum, I had my car 'tweaked' a little using mainly Cossie based technology. THat's why I ended up with a Pectel T6 V8 mapped by Ahmed.
Keep us informed of progress and pictures always are a must.
Just my 2p worth.
Cheers

Would you lot be interested in a Sapphire cosworth 2.2 20v project?
as title really lads!
as some of you are aware i am building a big power stroker motor for my A4.
for the past 5 or so years i have been researching building a rwd 2.2 20v audi powered Ford Sierra Sapphire (cosworth obviousley as im a badge snob lol
)
Tonight i just secured a very cheap RWD cossie shell missing everything that isnt welded to the shel lol!!!!
basicaly long story short, i have a massive background into big powered big spec fords and the A4 was my first "change" from a fod project as it was my every day car, now you can see clearly it is far from that.
i think, well i know i am still well respected for my advice and wot not in the Ford scene and unfortunatly had a choice, sell the A4 (NOT an option as its a genuine one off) or have project car no.2......
i opted for the latter!
so as of the weekend following this one, i will be starting work on the saff shell and stripping it bare, 2 buckets, 10,000rpm rev counter, boost gauge, LM2, and oil press/temp inside and thats it!
if you wanna see more reply here, prgress will be slow but i will do this!
i have had a 10v I5 in a sierra before but unfortunatly it was stripped before completion.
glimpses of whats to come....
the AAN motor will be staying in my A4 i think for now, as come september the big power stroker AAT should be finished!
im genuinly torn between having a massive power RWD car again or an insanely quick quattro running 10sec 1/4`s.
i posted here to gauge interest and oppinions,
let me know what you think but for all you keyboard terrorists, please think before you type, erm...... yeh nothing nasty unless you wanna tell me face to face lol
