Just out of interest what do you expect to pay for a shortened shell with the screen angle done? Its just that there are lots of people who want this done but have no idea of the cost invloved.

I have an idea of what this might cost but it depends on who does it, what shell(s) do we start with, do we do the B and C pillar etc etc. I am going to get some options together with prices for each and go from there. I will be happy to share what I find.

Yes mate since 2006 the BIVA was introduced. And if caught with a shortened shell it is an insant Q Plate.... And If not done to a good enough standard the DVLA have a right to remove it from the road all together.....

Almost puts you off doing it.

So, what is the correct way of registering such a modified vehicle? Is it like a kit car test for an individual build??

Yes exactly that! To do it 100% legal you should take it for an IVA. Which ever way you do it ie swap just the screen and roof on a cq or use the whole front of the 2 door and rear of the cq
