7a is out bay is getting cleaned up. after looking at the condition of my 01A I decided to get rid of it. It's got some leaking seals and I don't have the time or effort to fix them. I have a 6-speed DQT (a6 2.5L TDI) that was going to be in my coupe, but that car is at least a year out min. So grabbed the RS2 mounts, RS2 shifter (missing pivot plate), and 4kq driveshaft, and RS2 front shafts. Gotta love having 6-speed conversion lying in the garage.

The V8 is getting cleaned up before going in. I should be bolting everything up together tomorrow and hopefully dropping the new power train into the shell. I'm excited to see what tuning with this thing yields already talking to the dyno about when I can get it in.

Few things are going to make this car nice. One I'm two toning the interior with a set of URs4 front seats in black and a black rear seat with tan everywhere else and I'm going to throw the crappy 205 all seasons away and grab my 225/50-16 hankook RS2's ff my golf. This car already has a killer suspension on it. front is all solid trackdensity 034 mounts, AL subframe mounts, new control arms, and an RS2 front bar. The rear is new control arms, stock subframe, but trackdensity trans front and rear with a stock 4kq front bar (26mm) with new links. Car was very neutral before the V8 so it'll be interesting to see what the V8 does to this setup with the extra power should be a nice little ride. the 6-speed will help keep the fuel consumption under check with a.56:1 6th cruising at 8mph will be ~2500rpm.
