How many miles is too many?

So the ongoing search for a project car is well... ongoing

The main question is how many miles or km would you say is too many for a b3 chassis? The 7A will probably be driven for a year before replacement with a turbo motor and the tranny will go at the same time.

The A1 chassis that I'm more acquainted with, know inside and out, are rather flexy so high mileage usually isn't a good thing but since these subfamed cars are newer and seem stronger how much does mileage effect them?

With the 7a engine its pretty much bullet proof as long as decent oil and genuine oil filters have been used, cam chains get abit rattly and the dizzy gear often fails as its plastic, used to have a scruffy b3 2wd 90 20v that looked a right dog but running gear was faultless at 268k when i sold it and its till going now 3yrs later (god knows what mileage is on it now)
      Nice one

Here is the description... going to look at it today. It has 211000 miles (339000 Km)... Kinda worried about that but the pictures look nice...

bought it Nov. ?90 with only 8K miles and still runs like the day it was new. Religiously changed the oil with Castrol Syntec every 3-7K miles. I have 90% of the service receipts. Last year I did some major work with all new suspension bushings all around, H&R springs and Koni adjustables, O2 sensor and some other sensors. Car has: 17? OZ Superleggeras (price includes original Speedlines), stainless steel brake lines, PIAA fog/driving lights, Magnaflow muffler installed 7 months ago, K&N replacement filter, car cover and bra. California car its entire life ? no rust anywhere.

Looks mint! as long as there is no rust and the chassis is not rattling, then it will make for a great turbo conversion. I like the oz supperleggera wheels!

Really was the best car I've driven so far! A little too worn but overall very solid! Needs a few parts replaced ASAP but still a contender. 200K miles and runs smooth and pulls to 7K, Wow!
