jeebus!!!!! that plot is pretty nuts!! the only other plot i've seen that was remotly close to as vertical as that was a mk1 jetta on nitrous! (a 60 or 70 hp lightswitch) i'm sure it's pretty fun when the boost hits

The second 20v has nice 300NM at ~2700 RPM And then the powerband climbs up to 7000 RPM. - nice every day driving power ..... the 3B was stock except maf, injectors, map and fpr + the needed SW mods from Mika

Those are very impressive numbers for that turbo . I really did not think this turbo could give this sort of power .
What boost was the engine running at ? Was regular street petrol used ?
Size of injectors ?

I reckon this is with the bigger .86ar turbine housing on the GT2871R .

I can see that people have been quite interested in my setup, so here it is:

HW:
ADU-std: pistons, bearings, in-cam, valves, compression, in-manifold, injectors and fuel pump
AAN-ex.cam (in order to compensate too freely flowing ex-side head)
Verdi rods
Head done by Kansiset, intake max flow 312 Hp
Tube header and downpipe by Pro-mo
Turbo GT2871R, (turbine housing 0,64 A/R) with internal wastegate
Boost control std. Motronic
Exhaust 3" turbo back, no cats

Here you can see used boost pressures on different revs
We also tried 2.0 bar max boost but it gave nothing compared to 1.7 bar.

It will be interested to see what changes Mihnea would do to SW. After all Mika had very little to ad to Tommys work. Some leaning has still to be done on cruising loads, AFR<14 at the moment.

This restrictive action was made du to the fact of bad port job made by previous engine workshop.

I saw Mihnea mentioning surging probs of Garet ballistic turbos in some thread, and appears that he is right (as usual?)

Solution for this feature (rather than a bug) would be enhancing air consumption of the base engine at 3000-4000rpm area; cam timing, or different cams maybe.

the key to reasonably big hp figure is good cfm/hp ratio, which is close to 1.47 in this particular engine. As Teppo mentioned, we gained one hp with 2bar boost, indicating total run out of compressor flow. You can also see this from the compressor map.

Exhaust backpressure was some 2.2bar at +7000rpm.

I'll post holset - 3b-setup dyno plots when I get one. This setup was intentionally made to rock at high rpm range, due to stock internals, and purpose of the car (circuit racer).

Thanks for the details and thanks to repo for the explanation for the AAN exhaust cam, which first sounded like a brain-fart upgrade to me

2.2 Bar exhaust back-pressure at 7000 RPM definitely sounds very good with 1.7 Bar.
