SEM Longitudinal manifold going in soon.

got some toys, and some work ahead.

SEM manifold and fuel rail. (thanks Don and Marco)
Injector Dynamics ID2000's with shorter hats (thanks Kevin)
    larger AWIC core
smaller ice water reservoir (thanks Justin)
moving from 500 GPH to 1100 GPH pump setup
upsizing intercooler water lines from -10AN (5/8") up to -16AN (1")
more aluminum v-bands, 3.5" for the inlet pipe.

Looks very nice! Is it missing one port?

Or do you have so much power that you are going to run one cylinder NA?

making some preliminary fitment of the new intercooler...

but idea is to either modify the endtanks and use 90's off the inlets to the charge pipe and TB, or rebuild the endtanks to mount it higher up giving more tire clearance and taking the ports into the side instead of the top, negating the 90's in silicone.

          old

          new ideas

first thing, i cut off the endtanks on the brand new AWIC.

this is the core mounted in position.

next, fab up some endtanks out of cardboard, and take them to the fabricator of this insanity. (NUBVR). i drop it off, a few days go by and he tells me to come pick up and check it out.

here is the outlet side endtank. we are redirecting the flow pattern, so we need to redesign the tanks. also the inlet/outlets are on the front instead of the ends.... with transitioned edges/corners, we can help the flow go more smoothly than with sharp perpendicular edges.

and how they look in/on the car. notice the smooth transition following the path of flow...

              doin some fittin n stuff.

i think i have the inlet tube into endtank figured. waiting on the silicone for the outlet tube.

once i get those parts, i make final fab decisions and tack stuff together. send back to Nubworks for final weldout.

stopped by today, dropped off a 90 that wouldnt work, picked up a 60 and 90 to trial fit. cut the crap out of the 60 and tossin it in the bin. returnin the 90 and goin straight out with a 45 silicone. this kind of fab work takes a bit of time and creativity. its nothing straight forward.

              but it is fun.

also have to modify water ports on the AWIC itself. those little stock 1/2" ports were not going to cut it.

got a couple of the silicones so i decided to route the outlet to the throttle body.

have not decided yet if i am even going to use a BOV or not. but if i do, thats probably where it will end up.

but, nice and smooth flow for the charge air to follow. no hard bends, tight radius's, 90's, etc.

                    swing on by....

ok. i spent about an hour out there... visited my main fabricator Justin..... picked up the endtanks

and its all ready to go back for FINAL WELDOUT! i may do some adjustments to the outflow endtank (actually i will) as it is gapped more now than previously.... no big deal.

3.5" off turbo to the AWIC, and short run 3" to the 75mm TB. all flow turns are 45 degrees....

i did actually. i had the 1600's and they were recalled and option to upgrade to 2k's was free. and my tuner even got me the shorter hats for free as well.

i send you a message on FB, Chef.

updating this. we go Thursday to dyno the setup with the new manifold. not going to play with anything but AFR straight and get the same level as before. this dyno is only to see changes made by swapping the manifold (and A2W setup). may push a few more pounds just once maybe after this session, off comes this turbo and on goes the newer larger one.

but changed from a 12 gal reservoir to a ~3gal one. just requires more diligence when racing. larger lines, double+ the pump size, shorter line run. old lines -10AN, new lines -12AN. old pump 500 GPH, new pump 1100GPH.

also, swapped the blow off valve from HKS SSQ to a Tial 50mm. why? dunno, cuz it was blue? haha.
