Possible the first S4 C4 on the world with this engine

    Hi.
The presented car belongs to my friend, the owner of the world's only Nissan 200SX with Audi 2.2 20v Turbo engine. This project is also first on the world

Car is original Audi S4 C4 saloon from '93 with AAN engine.

We start from total body repair and regeneration. First step was regeneration of front subframe and engine bay:

    Steel front subframe mounts:

Mounted on subframe and chassis (also foto of rewelded sway bar mount, to mount engine on it):

We also mount front sway bar from avant chassis - also needed S4/S6 Avant sway bar mounts:

Now it's time for rear subframe:

I mount S4 avant subframe and hub with mounts, because in our saloon we don't have rear sway bar:

The suspension is KW Variant 1

    Now it's time for brakes:
front calipers from Porsche Cayenne mounted on Audi A8 D3 360mm discs, rear calipers from 911 Carrera on Mercedes 330mm discs:

    Wheels are ATS competition 18"/9,5"

    Now time for engine:
basically it was 2,8 VR6 AAA engine from Passat B4.
    Photos of all parts:
    Injectors (Siemens Deka 850cc):

Brand new dapter plate from phaeton VR6:

VEMS with 2 EGT input and LCD:

New, aluminium front wheel with smaller diameter (we want to rev something about 8,5krpm)

    Tial BlowOff valve:

    034Motorsport bigger diameter valves:

    100mm (4") throttle body:

    HX55 turbine:

Forged rods and Forged, compression droping (8:1) 83mm pistons:

head on stiffer valve spring, bigger valves, solid lifters, 296/268 cams etc:

    Engine in engine bay:

You put off the original 5 cyl 20v and put on a VR6 with 12v???

I think if you put all upgrades on the original engine, was better.

Agree. Makes no sense to me. But hey...it *is* unique.

The main reason we have chosen the VR6 12v is that it's bulletproof. Also, for the powers we are aiming for, you would have to put much more $$$ into the 2.2T to make it run "reliably". Besides, I have 2.2 20v already in the nissan. It's a nice power plant, but there is no point in building another one. There are lots of nice Audi + VR6 Turbo combinations out there, but none is an S4 C4... time to change it. Engine is an engine. It's a replacement part.

          Some latest pictures...

Those wheels look fantastic on the C4 body. That turbo is one of the largest I have ever seen. 1000chp potential?

Just spotted this through a random search on google. If you'd gone for the r32 engine I could understand but vr6 ugh worlds worst engine for forced induction. Except for the v5 which is a vr6 with a cylinder missing. They need so much effort to balance out flow rear cylinders always run lean and seize rings. Front cylinders always borewash. And exhaust ports are so restrictive the heads of the exhaust valves slowly bend through time.
Then the oiling system is horrible suffering from pressure drops over 7000rpm and the only uprated bearings that fit on the conrods are rs4 ones that cost £65 each!

Love the idea of the big cc engine but seriously change it to an r32 if you want any sort of power and reliability.

Hey, can you help with a drawing of adapter for the rear calipers installation?
