    '95 B4 v6 to a 3B swap?

My 244k mi 12v v6 has seem some better days. seems to be alot of work to do rings for so little or even just swapping in anther high mile 12v motor...

My 200 20vt needs alot of suspension and other work to be road going again...but the motot is rebuilt and ready to go.

what are your thought and opinions? other than the t44 engine harness not the being the perfect candidate for this....but how doable?

I'd fix the 220v up, it's a classic car allready.

    I'd rather drop 4.2 into the B4.

I'll second that. You can still get all the suspension parts for the 200. Either the 32v or 40v A8 motors fit wonderfully in a B4 90 bay. I did a 3.6 a number of years ago into a T89 and man that car was a blast!!

Don't kill the 20020v! I've thought a bunch about putting an I5 into a USDM B4. One big challenge is that the motor mount mounts are not in the same place on the V6 cars as the I4/5 cars.

already got a v8 in a cq project

I know rs2/s2 motor mounts are not the same as older i4/5 cars....i would rather save a 200tqa or v8q 5speed...

            my 200 needs:
            trans mounts
            motor mounts
driveshaft support bearing - have not installed
front ball joints - have 1 new one not installed
            front tierods
            subframe bushings are torn
new bilsteines since mine are blown
            new springs
            upper strut bearing plates
            new engine harness
            aux coolant pump

            ....thats just the front end

headliner sags, sunroof seal broke, no radio, 2 windows dont work....pearl clear coat issues....you say keep it and repair it. car sat for a long time and before that sat outside with drivers windows stuck open for a bit. its been in an accident....

...i already have as much in repairs as i do buying that 200 and just went on 1 year of ownership...oh it still doesnt start. short of buying anther 200 20v for parts...my 200 will be some time

my '95 90cs is in great shape exterior and interior. fun to drive and small.just has a 245k tired motor and weak subframes due to 16yrs of ohio salt.

So i got out an find anther late 12v v6....all motors going to have 160k plus on it with already weak rings. junk yards seem to want more for these 80/90/a4 v6 motors than a 4.2. say i get a cheap 12v and swap....how long till those rings fail again? I drive 25-35k miles a year.

just undecided what to do. the subframe trans mount just broke off....so i plan on swapping a b3 20v subframe...looks like it will fit.

my reasoning and yes still undecided what to do.

why not do a 30v V6 into it? Engines are easy to find and something a little different

I almost bought a local 2001 30v 5speed parts car missing interior and rear diff last week. I can code out any me7xxxx immobilizer via bench obdII port... so getting the ecu to work would be easy......would an easy swap really. even at a later date easy to 2.8tt it. since i have a junk 2.7t under the bench w.manifolds. engine harness would almost be plug and play from 2.8 to a 2.7t ecu. bench flash myself a stage 2@ 330hp/360ft.....wait....were back to like 20vt rs2 power levels

I believe the B3 subframe will require a spacer on one trans mount ~30mm iirc.

If you are keeping the 01a you may be able to run B3 consoles (the part between the trans and subframe) to avoid the need of a spacer.
