    Project RS2-4SC

Just thought I would share this with all.

We are taking a perfectly good RS2 rolling shell, pulling it apart and putting a B7 RS4 engine and gear in, with a Super Charger.

It will be a fully stripped out car with some serious attitude.

Will post as we go, long termer this one!

    Cheers

I have to question why? There was a perfectly good IL5 in there that can be tuned to equal power levels and still retain some of the RS2's heritage.

However, good luck with the project and keep us updated.

I think this will make you rather unpopular with some, can't say I've ever seen anyone dessicrate the I5 heritage of the RS2 like this!! Hope the original motor is going to be well utilised too!

It'll be interesting to see how this comes together, that supercharged V8 should make for one rapid Audi 80 (not calling it an RS2 makes me feel better about it )

Yes man, take a 80 avant and put this V8 engine inside. Don't destroy the RS2.

There was no engine in that car when I saw it last before it was sold so seems a bit misleading. This is the car at MRC that was bought from VRS ?

To answer the question, why, because we can.

The car was beyond repair or revival at a reasonable amount of money so we decided to have some fun.

I also have another RS2 and a few URS6, so I understand what heritage is and don't wish to destroy anyones feelings, but this will be a weapon that will be used and enjoyed and no doubt will also be something of a fun car for all those involved.

We have just finished putting a Golf R engine into a MK5 Jetta running 355PS, with this currently being Syncho'd, this new project will happen sooner or later, no rush as those involved want to get it right.

1 thing is for sure its going to be a fun RS2 (Audi 80 for those of a nervous disposition!).

                  Cheers

That should be pretty quick. The supercharged B7 RS4's are doing mid 8 second 100-200kmh. This one will be quite a bit lighter.

                    Sacrilege, though

Ah perfectly good = good drivetrain etc I assume. I recall seeing this at VRS thinking it was being broken, so all sins are forgiven thee On one condition - I want a ride

I had a very, very scary thought today, that I've said for many months would never happen. I wouldn't mind another 50-80hp from my RS2
