    S2 Avant Restoration and Improvements

Anyone know any good restoration specialists? The S2s needs a fair bit of TLC

    Cheers

      Alright mate,

Blimey I completely forgot about them
Can I see if my wings are shot first and get back to you?
You remember I told you the engine was on its way out? Well I have decided to give the whole car a new lease of life from the ground up after all there is no point in givin the engine so may horses the chassis throws a wobbly.

I remember you told me about a chap you rated highly for this sort of thing but cant remember who it was.

            Sir,

            Choose wisely, BTDT.

Posted purely as a reminder for newer members who may not be familiar with this type of thing.

The Avant in the photos is now only recently back in service as a daily driver, and looks great and runs perfectly, but at some cost and effort I can tell you.

Massive thanks to mcandmar for his all his work way "above and beyond the call of duty".

Also JP in JNL Racing for a lovely engine rebuild.

Sir, HTH with your choice and doesn’t freak you out too much.

            Best wishes.

i think you could easily sink ÂŁ20k into a refresh if you are paying someone to do the work and well as buying the parts

Cheers to all, I will take my time for sure, Im hoping to save money by stripping the car at work and sending the engine gearbox ect. away as seperate units.
Bit ambitious I know but I have some contacts for certain things.
Currently in the middle of movin house so the car wont be stripped just yet, I'm doin my research first.
Thanks for the warning about Quattronics
