    Gery,

I thought an 8 x 17 rim, with an ET 35 allows you to use the rim on a B4 Avant without any spacers being necessary ?

    Others might confirm either way.

Separately, would you be able to advise of the part number and ET on your 5 spoke rims in your thread ?

    Thanks.

i tried all the offset this afternoon :

8J x 17 ET 35 will fit A4 B6 Avant and S2 coupe, ok for the S2 avant front ( pic ), not for the Rear ( 5-7 mm out of the wheel arches)

7.5J x 17 ET 45 will fit all, but need spacers for upgraded Porsche brakes at the front
      ( 10 mm spacers)

those 5 spoke wheels on the pics are 7.5J x 17 ET 35 and are 3 mm close to the front calipers ! ouch

      cheers

                  boost problem

                  hi ,there,

still looking for a descent mech in or close to belgium, still got this boost problem to solve and can t find a mech to do the work ( or the ones qualified do not want to do the job, as too boring for them...)

it s 2 years i m driving like this and now i got some time to fix this problem,

thanks for help, ( i might even consider going to MRC in uk or MTM in germany !)

some info on the destocking :

                  MGA new paint and sold

the jag is still in the workshop till november 2012 !

                    long time i didn t drive the S2, what a joy !

it s been in the garage for the winter... but this week was quite sunny so, out with it

must say that for cornering, those 17x8 wheels at the front makes a difference, much less understeer...

MOT passed today, just rear brakes disc to change cause i didn t drove enough with it

still that stupid boost problem to solve, not much time to upgrade anything those days..

but with those 245/40/17 at the front and the larger wheels, its a complete different beast in corners.. no understeer anymore

next funny thing will be a Porsche 997 rent for 1 week in late july in germany

boost disappered slowly until it was inexistant...

the car is running like it s a non turbo engine

no westgate problem (changed it) or boost leak, tested

don t have the material to see the possible fault codes...

will have time this summer to sort it ! damned i wanna find back power !

there's one MTM workshop i need to contact , verbist racing, hope he can do something..
