Thanks guys the fogs were actually real easy to do, nice and effective.

So today has been a productive day. My mate rob came over and we hit the coupe HARD! 2 polishing mops, bottle of g3, a pressure washer, tub of wax and some elbow grease later and I have one awesome looking coupe

Here it's is before, it doesn't look too bad in these photos under the workshop lights but it really was ditched, felt like 400grit.

Then we hit it with the mops

Spent a good few hours doing that then blasted off all the compound

After that we hand polished it, waxed it, plastics detailed and put all the parts back on it and here's how it looks

Super happy with the results! All I need to do now is paint the pass side door bumpstrip as its got moisture under it n bubbled the paint off and die the bumper plastics as they've gone grey n only last a few days after siliconeing them

But after all that it pissed it down. But I'm lovin the rain beading

Nice one Tom, looking super smooth.

Any tips for polishing the rear lights etc, I'd like to rub down and get rid of the part number info etc and get a nice shin.

        Cheers mate,

Not too sure about sanding them down to get rid of the part numbers ect as on mine there actually in the plastic, they don't stick out so you'd have to sand them down massively to get rid of them. I just whipped over then with the polishing mop with some g3 and they shine like a dream

          Hey guys,

Been having some issues with the electrics on my coupe since retro fitting the autocheck unit. I don't get a warning buzzer when my lights are on and the doors are open. Im guessing that it work off the bulb monitoring side of things. Will my coupe have the bulb monitor equipment already there that I could just wide up? Any help would be great.

          Cheers

So I found myself without a boss today at work. I did the standard morning slog then did what any other 25year old would do..... Go to the pub? Nahhhh give the coupe some lovin of course!

Nothin too exciting. Interior hoovered and plastics dressed, full wash, clay bar, wax and plastics dressed

If you've never used a clay bar before.... GET ONE! It feels so wrong to rub playdoh across your paint but the results are ace! So easy to apply wax after as well

Excuse the battered drivers seat, it's on the list haha

In other news im finally getting theought the final parts for my suspention refresh from TPS so I'll be all go on that soon enough.

Nice work, be good to see what you do on your refresh. On that topic what is your measurement floor to top of arch front and rear and how many miles done?

I'm looking at suspension options but trying to find what these should have been from new.

So today I finally started the process of refreshing the running gear on my coupe Nothing too crazy but I started with rebuilding my drive shafts

                  Here's my original ones

And here are the drive shafts I got when I brought the subframe n struts, which I had powdercoated

Completely stripped my original drive shafts and cleaned all the cv parts.

Then buzzed the cv shells up and painted them. I hate bolting rusty stuff upto shiny stuff

All the parts laid out ready for rebuild

Rebuilt them with new boot kits and lots of cv grease now there looking smart for a daily driver haha

Great work again Tom - I really hated rebuilding all 10 of mine, CV grease is vile stuff.
Are they OEM inner joints? I never knew Audi used tripoid inner joints on the B3/B4 cars
                    Panthero Coupé quattro 20vt
                    Indigo ABY coupé

Cheers bud. It really does suck! It makes life a little easier having a parts washer the grease in the boot kits came in a tooth paste style tube which is always nicer to use than the sachets.

Yeah they were genuine mate, nice and easy to rebuild too

Eventually I'd like to yeah. But because I can't have the car off the road for longer than a day or two I had to get all the front end stuff off a car that was being broken so I could restore it all then bolt it straight on. The donor parts were from an a avant so I'll be on the look out for a coupe rear beam soon as finds allow

                                Good stuff
You should be able to find those bits cheap enough. A nice tight rear end makes as much of a difference as doing the front IME
