    S2R Project

Some news about this S2R project, the first car has fired today, runs ok, still needs to be run in (we'll do this on the dyno in 2 weeks) and then we'll be able to finally map it!

    Here's a nice IMSA-style inlet manifold:

    and here's the engine

Yes, that's 10 injectors per engine, each injector flows 12% more than an RS2 injector, fuel pressure is 4 Bar and the additional injectors are fed by the ECU through 5 separate power stages. They will be necessary in order to safely achieve 500+ HP IMO...

    Cheers all,

Does anybody else wonder where they put the servopump on these cars? Or are they running w/o servo? And where is the radiator?

@Rich: why not use the servo pump? Assisted brakes and steering are nice, even on the track....

The radiator is in the trunk by the way!

                Great site and fantastic engineering.
On page 1 of this thread behind the S1 audi ( at a track day?) is a trabant painted yellow and green.

Do they get stuck in the inlet manifold on track days? I assume they are not standard.

The later trabants used VW polo engines I believe. VR6 power anyone?
