Audi A8 tiptronic - S8 manual

Hello..
well someone here alredy know that I'm in middle of project, to convert A8 tiptronic to S8 manual gearbox. I hate tiptronic, so it must be MANUAL in every case.

car is A8 4.2 quattro , from 1996. car was in very bad shape when I bring it home. but it had good equipment. electical seats, sun roof, heated seats, electrical seats at front and rear, elestrical stering wheel, air bags , almost new winter tires with alloy wheels , etc etc.
also have LPG with all licence, it is a grate advantage in Croatia.

here was the begining ;

then I decide to clean all interior and remove tiptronic shifter.









then I went to Slovenia for few part from manual gearbox.

the time to take engine out has come. of course with gearbox.

than I find out that my mayor problem will be flywheel, because they are special, only for v8 engines which are very rare.
few days after that I find one AHC engine which was taken from crashed car before 4-5 years.
few things was missing but I had it on my ABZ engine. newer mind from 2 engines I will collect one, permanent was flywheel , ad it have it.
when the engine come to me I was looking, and it was very strange to see so clean engine... I call the man who take this engine from the car before 4-5 years. and ask them how much km have engine.
he said; I know the first owner of the car. he had it from first day. one day there was some problem with oil pump in engine. they went to Audi service and insist to install new engine , because they pay every warenty for that car.
few weeks after he had brand new engine with all new parts like:
injectors,all sensors, flywheel,clutch set , timing belt, pulleys , TPS , EVERITHING was new. and work perfect. 2.5 years after that he have car crash on motorway . than we take engine out, engine was in garage for 4-5 years, and than come to you. this engine had 26000 km... perfect I said !

than I definetly decide to put AHC in car. MAF was missing but I find it next day.

than gearbox arrived , it was plug n play on AHC. gearbox is from urS4 CET . 01E 5 speed (for now )

there was some problem with proppeller shaft , I collect rear part from A8 , and front part from 200 20v, and there was still 6cm missing, than I decide to make one spencer.

there was some problem in beginning of starting the engine, but we fix it. also tnx to you guys !
engine didn't run for many years , and now they work better every day.












one part of exhaust have to be made , so my good friend done it .
one day I will also change other part of it , to make it sound better ! for now it must be like that.





also find good S8 interior with RECARO electric seats..













before few days I find good wheels for car..
RH NAJ200 10X20" & 9X20







bilstein B6 monotube will be perfect in combination with Eibach springs which are alredy on car..





I have to change middle part of car to make a shifter holder.. so I take it from one S8 , and fix it on my car.





today I start to put new interior in it..





tommorow is new day .. show must go on..
It's lot of work.. even now after 5 month of work I can't see where is the end..
but hope it will be soon !

you have realy good eye.. that is dad's scooter, and they have some batery problem, and dad put a real good battery from audi 200.. LOL

my plan was ; good familiar car , safe and if I wish .. fast enough.
in some case economic.. because they have LPG, and it must cost me less than 200 20v without them.
because in CRO fuel is 1.7 euro per liter , and LPG is always on half of price , around 0.7euro.
next step is tires, brakes, and other tehnical parts. when spring come, must go in Belgrad to put whole car in matt black folie.
I hope that it will be finished before winter, because garage is missing.

very glad to hear that you like my project family car.
you probobly don't know , but now I'm married man (almost 2 weeks ) and now I must be serious man with serious car.
