  • Hi Guys urs6 back on the road thread.

Just decided to get my urs6 saloon back on the road again. She has been layed up for 2 years due to other automotive commitments. God i have missed the old girl.

I am going to have to have her towed to a specialist as her fuel pump has given up. I have bought an uprated pump from 034 motorsport, but have heard these uprated pumps can be noisy without the appropriate check valve?

I really need some advice on where is the best audi quattro specialist in the south to trust her to. To have her brought back to roadworthy status. She is an immaculate car, just worried about brakes and fluids cambelt etc after being layed up for so long.

My first mods when the basics have been covered will be for her chassis. Thinking Apikol rear ARB kit, and uprated front ARB with the appropriate poly bushes. Also kw coilover kit. She already has an 034 turbo back 3inch exhaust system on her. And she has rare euro oem audi wheel arch lip kit fitted. Which came on some Italian and Scandinavian s6's.
Cannot wait to begin the process of getting her road fit, just need to find the right specialist i can trust.

Any info would be greatly received.

    Damien,

I'm driving my car everyday.it's now running on E85 power.Glad to hear you got her back on the road.i bet you're gonna miss the same old feeling after the wheel!i guess you have 044 with V8 basket fuel pump?i'm running the same kits on my car.you will need the speedflow check valve.it helps the whining sound a lot.i don't think you should have any problems about your brake or any hydraulic stuffs on your car.You just simply put the fuel pump kits and fire her up.That's all.Good Luck Mate.let me know if you need some helps Damien!

      Hi Pop

Really nice to hear from you buddy, its been a while.

She is not on the road yet. Just preparing myself for her return to service. Ive got fresh new ideas up my sleeve look wise for her. So next year should be exiting. Hoping to get her to some audi/vw shows here in the uk.

Will have to have a good look at your forum posts to see how far your beast has progressed in my absence. How in god name did you manage to get cayennes behind your LM's? They look awesome mind. I am going to go oem plus for the 2013 show scene. With some added under cover interior mods. Looking for a set of S8mk 1 alloys for her at the moment. Hope with my euro arch kit their et 48 doesnt look to lost in the arch, didn't really want to go over a 15mm spacer at each corner as it takes away steering feel.

As far as the fuel pump is concerned i am going to use the original pump basket with the 034 pump support bracket. I remember you saying to use a bmw check valve...and you gave me the link but i think i have lost it? Will look up about the speed flow check valve...Cheers Pop.
