---you're telling me this car is done and there are no pics up....
we need pics
I've been slobbering over the blue rs2'd coupe forever, its my deam car pretty much...
if there is a version 2 I gotta see it...
and then a nother as anton's will be that too
Cool Im glad it's still alive! Looking at this thread I just realized after so many times seeing the rear end shot of this coupe that his rings are larger than standard. I like it very much too, might search for a nice replacement.
yes the project is alive and hopefully will be ready in the very near future. over the last few years i have been tied up with work etc and simply never really got around to getting this finished. But have decided this needs to be completed ahead of summer. Most of the work is done just the odd bits and bobs need doing so hopefully all will be completed soon. Am currently tied up with work but ive asked SAL to help me out so am hoping the car is on the road in this summer.
good to hear your doing a similar project im sure loads of people have done similar projects by now, the 1st conversion was done over 10 yrs ago, them times nobody else had anything of the sort.
reading the threads now loads of guys have gone in this direction and have done some great projects.

come on mate need some pics what wheels are you using ?
I am interested to know how you went about doing the hub/brakes/handbrake and driveshaft conversion as well as the rear rs2 bumper if you can shed some knowledge.

Front hubs go straight on not an issue there but the rear hubs and calipers to get them on there is a need to have some parts machined etc to make them fit maybe gets some pics up when were done.
To get the rear bumper to fit there is alot of messing around the bumber need to be cut in a couple of places (both corners) and then moulded back together, this will shorten the end length of the sides and will fit the coupe, but then you are left with gaps between the body and the bumper which then require filling. The chap who done the job underpriced it back in the days and when he was done did not want to see that bumper again hence alot of mucking about. But its definetly possible as its has been done.
if you are talking about refurbishing a set of cup 1's,
rather, I will purchase those from ya in the roughed up state they are in and you can buy some other wheels
