    Looks like an interesting project

Have you got around to fitting the 16v head to the block yet?

What power level are you looking to get? OE 16V G60 was 215bhp IIRC. If you have a bigger charger then you should be looking at more when it's all finished of - should go well in a lightweight Golf.

Have you strengthened the shell at all? Mk.1 with the roof taken off isn't going to be the most structurally rigid car on the road

sounds good. bbm charger is the twin screw variant IIRC and makes a racket. whines constantly. the 16v for me is a turbo motor due to rpm but each to their own.

16vt pistons are the best option no issues with oil squirters. but going 83mm and above on a 16v block can cause issues if its not a bubble.

16v head bolts straight down with to 16v block as with others abf gasket and arps are ideal

stock rods can use ARP bolts for 16 or ford 289 bolts with tiny mods. IIRC 289 bolts are 1/2 the money for twice as many as they were for a ford v8. may prevent a hole in the block.

          thanks guys...
the block that i will be using is a G60 pg block as 1 it has a larger water jacket in aid of cooling it better than a 16v KR block also 2 the fitting kit i have is for the bbm charger is for fitting it to an ABA block and i am trying my hardest to do this on a budget first... i have trial fitted it to a G60 engine and evrey thing fits just got to make a bracket the size of 3 fifty pence pieces shaped as a triangle and the fitting kit will be solid. also it allows me to fit the alternator to the front of the engine where the abs pump would normally go..
i picked up my S2 pistons the other day and they will drop into the PG block but i may have to have a notch cut out of the pistons for the oil squirters and once they are notched i will see if they can all be notched/filled so that they all way the same... so i will be looking into this other than that there should be no issues running S2 pistons in a PG block as the block is 81mm diameter. you cant run S2 pistons in the rallye block as the diammeter is 80.5mm lernt this the hard way ... really long story lol..
once built and fitted i will be looking to run it at about 210 BHP as that is what the chip comes as but it is programmable. i will try and run it in before i go mad with the injectors and boost loool
i am also lookig for a supplier of up rated piston rings and ARP bolts for the conrods..

Nice project, my mate Matt Pett built a 16v G60 and his run 272bhp that was also in Mk1. They'll be plenty of power to be had out of that charger and set up. Good luck with it.
Just some finishing touches to do now
