Coupe Quattro S4 B type

Just picked up a couple of cars from the UK and drove them home, 2500km trip in 4 days, nice and easy nursing them back, Both have around 200,000 miles and will use the coupe as the base car and the S4 as the donor hoping to keep them both

Plan is to build a track car mainly for local hill climbs and Time Attack events in Sicily maybe European TA in Cyprus

Coupe will have the S4 motor and 6 speed box which needs a rebuild so I'll start with the engine transplant and take it from there.

Work started, slowly but surely

This is a Saturday morning build and will take a while but still running the TT in Sicily in a Time Attack event and have done a Haldex rebuild and replaced the turbo in the summer months.

Progress so far

S4 running gear removed and gearbox stripped. rear diff and g-box housing blasted and painted.

Just P/X the V6 Coupe with this S2 in Malta so plans have moved forward

If anyone recognizes the Silver S2 reg and knows who the owner was please pm as I would like to contact him for some history ;-)

Also came with Original garrett ball bearing turbo, 60-1 compressor wheel, t4 divided .70 ar and massive intercooler/ water injection kit. V6 sub frame was refurbished, powder-coated and poly bushed and will exchange this on the S2.

Plan is to remove Garrett and fit S4 turbo to start off with suspension mods and set-up and build the S4 motor & eventually throw the Garrett in.

Traded the cars with this set up, as above in my previous post,which is why I'm reverting back to standard turbo and eventually build up the S4 engine, internals head work etc and T0S4 once I have this.

S2 1st Hillclimb in Malta

S2 performed well with my son in the driving seat, I'm still enjoying My TT

Standard S2 with sub frame poly bushes are the only mods we've done. Now it's time to tighten up the engine and I'm interested in these mountings from Prospeed BG. Engine/gearbox/front cross member.

We'll start building the URS4 engine as we go along so might as well prepare the solid mounts.

Carbon hood , fiberglass doors and lexan windows all round should be here in a month or so.
