    80 dadwagon

    Hey guys.

Picked up myself a new project daily lastnight. Bit roapy round the edges but everything saveable right.....?

Super faded paint work but other than a few dings its all there so should mop up really nice.

It's been sat for 18months so all of the brakes need a rebuild as there's a couple seized up. So I'm guessing now is the best time to give it a brake upgrade.

Does anyone out there have their old g60 s2 callipers knocking around?

I'm also after an s2/v6 front bumper and s2 avant rear bumper and an avant rear offside outer tail light.

    Cheers guys.

Ha ha, welcome to the club I did exactly the same as you and almost have an S2 rep now! Great cars, wholly recommend the EGR blank, a new N75 and a full inlet clean out, then you will be back up to full power, trust me, the sheet you will find in there is brutal.

    Fantastic daily driver!

Worked on the wagon a bunch today, freed off what I initially thought was seized brake pistons but as soon as the front wheels came off it was clear the problem was the naff 14" steels wernt just catching on the callipers but were fully mullering them!

Deep joy! Nothing too bad but I went though the brakes anyway and cleaned up all the rust and greesed up the slider pins and pads. Whacked on a spare set of coupe gt speedlines to get it through the mot which should be Tuesday hopfully so fingers crossed.

A quick question, should there be a piece of trim or seal here in between the front and rear doors, its the same the other side too.

                    Thanks for looking,
                    Tom

I replaced a split cv boot lastnight after work and put the old girl through its first mot in 3 years today and it flew through with only a couple of small advisories that I knew about. such as a broken indicator lense and different size wheels front to rear. Super happy! Now on with the fun stuff!

A buddy of mine at work had these left over from an unfinished project so they landed in my lap

So I set about making some coilovers from the strut I took off my v6 coupe when doing a full sus refresh.

Started by stripping them down and unsiezing the shock retaining cap and cutting off the crusty drop links.

Then I chopped the original spring seats off ready for the threaded collars.

But my fun was short lived as the coilover conv kit is for 50mm struts not 55 so ill be ordering some threaded collars tonight.

This is what I think I'm going to be doing as well, only downside I have, is that I had to sell the S2 !!

I'm really struggling trying to find 55mm ID threaed collars for my struts. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
