Audi S2 3B from switzerland

Hello Everyone.

First of all, sorry for my bad english...

i'm there since long time and never created a thread regarding my project.

So there is...

in biggining it was an Audi S2 3B completely poor buy brand new by a baker un 1991.

the baker delivered he's bread all around geneva during 15years and dont take care of the car

so this is how it was when i buy it in 2007 for cheap!



i've investigated a lot of time to make it nice but it was in my "soft tuning" period.. so i've added a rear tuning bumper and tuning parts on the sides.. and also a full leather interior because the old one was completely destructed

Time to add some modifications...

front big red brakes :



And a RS2 downpipe + rs2 cats + BN Pipes 70MM after cats



Bosch 044 fuel pump



Wagner evo LLK




And also Bosch big injectors, K24-7200 turbo and RS2 manifold with a MRC Chip tuning.


it was runing fine.... 350hp aproximatively... but now... serious things start!!!

GTX3071 AR63 turbo

and quite a lot of stuff more.

this is the status... the engine will be removed this weekend



and a quick view of the place where i do the job





oh and just in case.. i'm going to remove the side squirts and the rear bumper and put original one on the back and RS2 replica in front.


in switzerland is quite difficult to do something because of the laws and the periodics controls (each 2 years)

but i continue to be verry active inside of the CASS and now i'm member of the comitee.
when do you come back to switzerland?

I would like to come in June for the 20 years of RS2, but Le Mans 24 is the next weekend. I might have to toss a coin in the air. I wish I could stay for both, but I don't think my wife would like that.

I keep my CASS membership card with me all the time.

some news from yesterday on my audi S2 3B


Engine ready to be remove.




removed!!!




In fact i will change all the silentblocks from subframe and wishbones so we decided to remove everything in same time... more easy to work like that.



today i will continue to work on the car.

central transmission puted down



as we can see, some part must be changed... no problem i already had one from 034




and complete arm removed with brakes and suspention... a lot of work to do there but not really sure what will be the option selected

some work has been done on the engine



Head is removed.




pistons and rods removed



Distribution pulley must be changed after 40'000km with RS2 configuration



new coils received from H&R

head cleaned and corrected of 0.014mm




new pistons received from wossner with different compression ratio : 8.0:1



diameter is now 81.5mm










some parts received to re mount the engine




i've also done some work on my head



i use now reinforced springs and titanium retainers from FCP engeneering

no idea

i've no comparaison to another build with 3B engine and GTX3071 turbo... so i hope for more than 450hp but let's see

this morning i received my lighted lifters :



and i've my engine back after modifications and control for 81.5mm pistons

dregreased it, cleaned it, ready to be painted next weekend
