    1.8t? Omg!!!

Here's a nice project car I'm helping with setting up in Greece, a tuner friend of mine started it but at some point he got stuck, so this is what we have achieved together so far, by remotely tuning that car.

It's an S3 with 1781cc, lower CR, big ports head, FMIC, GT35R and some other goodies (800cc/min injectors)

I betcha it's laggy, but once it goes, OMG...

There's no torque curve printed out on the graph, mainly because of the other stuff being logged and printed out so I can make changes without having to look at VAG-Com logs at the same time. I guess the MAF must be getting maxxed out around 5400 RPM, because while power keeps on increasing, MAF stays dead on 292g/s and it won't move. Next step is to log MAF voltage, it could be 5V already from it....

If that's the case, I guess an RS4 MAF will sort the problem out.

EGTs are 830 degree C after the turbine, max boost 2 Bar (peak only attained at almost 6000 RPM, do you think that turbo is BIG???) and yadda yadda yadda...

    Cheers,

I couldn´t find boost pressure from that plot. GT35R sounds quite BIG for 1,8. Here we have S3 with N/A cams and GT2540, which gave 340hp @ 1bar. There was some problem with motronic and cylinder-fill percentages.

Are you talking about Mika having problems with the S3? I have heard about that.

Boost is represented as "turbo pr" on the graph, it's that curve that goes up to 2 Bar at 6000 RPM, in purple.

blimey yeh you can see the lag on that curve picks up very late but that must shift when it gets there!!

The car is running Motronic ME7.5 and MAF by the way. All is controlled by the stock ECU. The ECU wasn't easy to map but not that hard either actually...

Yep, same car. He solved the problem, and was supposed to map it today, but instead he remapped two S2:s and one RS2. Altogether 1343hp, not bad me thinks.

The turbo is way too big IMHO... but oh well... my opinion wasn't asked for when this project started, but of course, they asked me when they ran into problems mapping the ECU for the 800cc/min injectors so I can't take full credit for it, but oh well, at least I know what I have done there to get it where it is now... 90% of the mapping
