      Thanks gents,

Not too familiar with the compatible parts between the range of cars from Audi. Learning along the way with some difficulty since in SA these cars were a rarity...thank God for the forum and ebay/UK specialist stores/sites!

Looks great. I'm assuming this was hot dip galvanizing (rather than electroplating). Did you have any concerns about warping etc?

Thanks Tom- yes it is hot dip galvanizing, went to the galvanizing company with the best reputation for vehicle parts. They had been working with local landrover chassis for over 40 years and put my mind at ease. Thankfully a simple level test (using a scale table and a water line) revealed that the subframe is true and straight. All other parts are powder coated in arctic grey/silver to match the light suspension- purely for ease of locating any defects and/or leaks for the future.

No Eric, standard RARB- will look at upgrading various suspension parts once I have added smiles to the fun pedal (more power).
Thanks for the compliment- loving every moment of this adventure called a project!

Advise needed on reassembly of the rear caliper for a Coupe rear brake.
I am battling to get the cir-clip back in below the piston. Obviously this fastens the spring and spring housing- proving to be a difficult task.
Any diagrams of threads of advise will be welcomed.

                        Cheers Irish,

All very similar, just don't have the tool to depress the spring for reloading of the cir-clip. May need to look at caveman creativity or professional help come Monday!

12 months for a full suspension overhaul and a respray...she is now finally back home.
2 days of back roads driving and I am loving every minute behind the wheel.

                          Now for the RS2 enhancement.

Thanks gents...Piotr the grills were bought from Andy (another member) from north of England mate. Seems he had the mesh welded to the old frames. Solid bit of work!
