    Audi Coupé Quattro 1991 7A

I bought this car last year, just over the border with France. I must admit I had little to no technical experience with cars in general, and none at all with these coupé's.
The car looked OK, nothing but 23 years of age showing. The testdrive went fine, except for a coolant hose coming off, which was fixed in no time. Luckily there were no further problems during the ride back home, about 200km.

Doubt it is original colour, never seen anything like that on an Audi from a showroom before

Lowered, side skirts, smoked tail lights..... I would go with non-standard

A nice car of course, is the 20V in fine fettle?

It's a purple metallic, not original at all so I don't know the colour code.
The paintjob was a lousy job and is showing cracks at several places.
I'm planning on having it redone in LA7U, pearl grey metallic.

You're absolutely right. The car is far from original and I'm not aiming to restoring it to its original state. I think some moderate styling is ok, but no overdoing it..
The previous owners have made some modifications as lowering and side skirts. At some point in time there must have been an ironing board on the rear spoiler as there were some holes in it.
I made the taillights darker with a plastic foil but it didn't turn out as clean as I wanted it to be. It will need to be redone (sprayed?) once the car gets it's new paintjob.
The engine seems to be fine. The enginebay is pretty clean and there's only minimal oil leaking from the cylinderhead, will need to replace the gasket I suppose.
