Loved this car since I first saw it in Speedhunters (I think).

One question though: with the amount of inner rear wheel lift you're getting going 'round corners, wouldn't it be best to soften the rear suspension to increase grip? Perhaps some aero tweaking to increase load at speed?

Its actually the front that's too soft . the struts have been removed and shortened and higher poundage springs as we speak.

The car is built for hill climbs and so the V8 is fitted for better power and torque lower down in the rev range. OH and also Dave is from Australia hence the V8 as anything less is considered camp out there lol

Looks like the world's first 3WD quattro ;-) - that wheel lift is insane...

It is very incongruous to match the V8 soundtrack to the 5cyl looks of that classic shape. I love the sound of both so I can only enjoy. What a great project though - thanks for sharing !

Would like to know more about the spaceframe design underneath and those references to old F1 suspension - pretty radical !
