the 4 pot looms don't meet up to the 5 pot looms in all places

I have used the dash loom and the engine loom from the s2. these connect good obviously. there are however other plugs from the 4 pot that are not a direct connect. I expect I have a few to do still.

power cables are thicker on 5 pot than 4 pot.

on the subject of smart swap the i5 to b4 is the smart swap. the 4 pot either 16vt or 1.8t is the smartswap on 4pot b3. having said that its only mounts. my engine goes in this weekend so maybe ill be of a different opinion in a day or 2

I helped Acidburn convert a fwd avant to quattro. It is not as simple as bolting the stuff on but not hard. Some welding required.
You need a donor quattro to cut a couple bits off do do a nice job.
I am sure the quattro models will have had some additional strengthening inside the chassis members that you can't see, as the material on the fwd where the captive nuts need to be added is not very rigid. a bit of plate soon sorts that though.

Out of interest, for the b4 coupe 16v, how do the following conversions stack up in terms of complication/cost/logical option?:

        1.8T
        2.3 20v n/a
        5 cyl 20v turbo
Or... charging the existing 2.0 16v
