I don't have to tell you what bothered me about the plates, the front was off centre and the rear was too high plus they were attached with uncapped self tappers.

I'm going to treat it to a new set perhaps from South Hereford Garages so their genuine VAG but that's far from a priority job.

I keep a fire extinguisher in both my S cars, the under bonnet temps get bloody high after a thrashing, I could smell Charlie's car from ten meters away yesterday afternoon when we stopped for fuel.

But yes a more sympathetic location would be better, I did notice and take it out for a few shots but all those pic's were out of focus or had loads of flash glare.

Photography is not a strong point of mine.

Will see what I can do while I'm under there dropping the gearbox oil out I was going to do it today but it's far too nice to be stuck down the pit so it can wait until tomorrow or this evening.

Was waiting to see this, well worth the wait. Just seeing this now, was out last night.

Pretty good specimen. Love the paint colour and the two tone interior. Good location for the photos.

Ironically, it doesn't look like a monster project, because it is so good already.

Well worth lavishing money on it though. Have you made an excel list yet ?

First dibs on the seats if it is ever relevant.

I'm going to get my brother to take some better ones this evening with a decent camera, not just for here I need a decent set for my insurance company.

To be honest there are minor issues with the body, if there wasn't I would never have been able afford such a straight low (98K) mileage example.

I'm the second owner, the V5 says one previous keeper, he put it on the road 01/03/1995, it officially became mine on 01/03/15, 20 years to the day later.

I'll find time to write up the mission involved with the cars acquisition soon, it was a pretty exhausting weekend!
