Just completed this project on my track car. Well to extent that it is running on the road and some begugging and polishing is still required.
Car used to have a 7A motor with twin throttle boddies that added a wopping 2 KW. Dyno at 140 Kw and 24oNm, but felt this was under powered for track use. Thus decide to fit the S2 motor I had on hand, fix the gearbox (Synchros on 2nd, 3rd and 4th New bearings etc.)
Lots of fiddly work not least of which was getting an RS2 fiberglass bumper to fit the 90, which is, believe it or not a little wider than the S2/RS2.
Will run with two radiators, the front mounted one from a Golf Caddy. This required the Nose mounting to be removed and after market engine and gearbox mountings that I had made from 80 shore rubber. Engine shits rock solid and no vibration being transmitted into chassis.
Complete project documented on facebook https://www.facebook.com/ryss.unger/media_set?set=a.10204234946892901.1073741833.12044 87553&type=3"
