Discs have arrived:

And calipers back from being painted nice shiny red and embossed with the Porsche logo to maintain a little originality, just a little...

Will has to prepare for a show at Edition 38 next weekend so my project will be on hold until the 7th September apparently when it'll be all systems go...Leave a comment:

That EM is a work of art, the welding on the inlet is very tidy so I can understand leaving it on show as a feature, what colour is it going to be painted, the same silver as the other alloy parts?
Nice to see the subframe back on, a little step towards reassembly, it'll be well worth the wait!Leave a comment:

Guy called Hank at IROZ Motorsport in the US http://www.irozmotorsport.com/equal-length-header/
It is beautiful:

Yeah, I'm super-excited about completion of this thing. It'll be hands down the fastest thing I've ever been in, let alone driven or even owned!

Block painted and set to be reassembled next week and if all goes to plan will be back in the car with the gearbox by the end of the week:

The head and inlet manifold here aren't mine:

Sub frame, wishbones, anti-roll bar and engine & gearbox mounts have all come back from being painted, mounts have lacquer too:

Calipers painted next week, head and cams come in week after next and I'll take my boot spoiler up whenever I get it.
Slowly all coming together, things stepping up a gear after next week, though unfortunately the dyno room won't be ready until mid September thanks to the dyno suppliers ballsing up the air flow specs. Still, some progress is being made:
The brains:

The room:

The dyno itself:

Impressive looking stuff. Bring on September...
I really like that exhaust manifold - pure porn. Who makes that?
Looka good though ahould be better than new when finishedLeave a comment:

No real reason aside from aesthetics. I mean it was a case of spend the money and time modding and changing everything to fit the reverse IM or just chop the OEM one open. Everyone else seems to go for the reverse manifold, I like the idea of keeping the Porsche embossed standard IM. Performance wise there's little in it.Last edited by cardcrash; 1 November 2015, 00:27.Leave a comment:

Just curious, why did you choose to modify the RS2 manifold rather than fit a Wagner intake manifold?Leave a comment:

Just discussed with Will, gonna leave the welds there; a) saves costs b) is a nice little feature showing a tidy modification.Leave a comment:

That's some nice fabrication work, not a mod I've seen before but I do recall you mentioning something about it. As tidy as it is I take the welding won't be visible once it's finished?Leave a comment:
