    S2 avant project

Picked up the S2 after deciding not to play around with the 20v rr coupe, lovely as it is! Was thinking around the lines of short Quattro conversion with 500hp but funds couldn't stretch to that.
As a friend of mine has a S6 which he has done a lot of work on and seams to know what he is doing the S2 was a nice place to start out, and he can do all the technical bit while I clean and paint bits!
The S2 had been standing for two years so getting it running was first port of call. After cleaning tank out and fitting new fuel pump and changing corroded electrical terminals we thought she would run, No joy! Brand new genuine fuel pump faulty!!
Second fuel pump fitted and she fired up and ticked over sweet, but wouldn't rev well at all. We now find are selves after a few hours of car interrogation and sensor swapping, finding a tooth missing of the flywheel which we think is causing all the problems.
New parts have been ordered from o34, new aluminium flywheel and stage 2 clutch kit, Wagner evo intercooler and pipes and red coils and harness.
    From Germany Wagner Ex manifold.
From Vidar skotheim of the fourm a very nice RS2 billet turbo, really is very nice work.
From UK koni sport kit with Eibach springs 30mm drop, and D2 4 pot big brake kit to fit under the standard 16 inch wheels that I want to keep for sleeper look!

              Little bit more done

Manifold and turbo fitted, two studs needed drilling out of head which took a long time😡
Cleaned and zinc painted heat shields look ok. Need a new or good condition rear silencer heat shield, mine is passed its best. Does anyone know best place to source one from??

A little lag is good for the soul...it is fairly quick and it can take me by surprise on the tight and twisties...

Yes it looks like it, might get on a bit quicker if he wasn't eating chocolate all the time

It is the last time I order anything from them, promise the world and get the wrong parts at the wrong time at the wrong price! It is a genius business strategy they have going! Hell ya God bless the USA!
