At last, as an member here for ages, there's a time to letting you know something about my S2. Some have probably seen it in the "showcase-best pic" thread already..

Some info and pics from some days after I purchased it and polished her up :



Imported it myself, from Sweden in April 2007
Bone stock, only SMS chipped with an 264hk/ps Chip ( done in 1994 )
Production date : 1993

Not AC/Klima and no headlight washers.
Dark grey jacquard "quattro" interiour

After a good summer, a bad autumn came.. Driving with a MTM303RS chip, 3" exhaust and filter for a summer one of the conrod bearings said enough :/ This was really the start for the never ending "project" - still is for sure !

New engine build ( a chapter for itself ) All of the subframes etc was down for glas-blasting and new paint, mounted with new bushings from powerflex & audi.. H&R Coilovers mounted, tie rods and ball joints new together with oem brakes. Only thing that was left undone was the axels and cv joints ( a future project )

The engine build that winter resulted in this

Summer of 2010 came and hunting for new wheels, resulted in these BBS RS2
Pictures taken at "Vålerbanen" racetrack, Norway !

Back in 2011 I sold the engine for a price I could't say no to
A reason for this was also to have some cash for building a workshop/garage at my home !
This resulted in the car went to storrage between 2011 to 2015.

For all those years in between, I've searched for parts to build her the way I want..

Next step was a complete interiour facelift transformation from '93 to '96 spec, fitted a oem cruise control system together with refurbation of an glass-sunroof with "pre-select" - Yes, I am crazy

Busy working on the engine as we speak, so hope to get the engine mounted to the car through the summer
Maybe even a little ride before the snow comes back, who knows !

The plan now is nearly full RS2 OEM look in the engine bay, looking just as from fabric - but with some minor modifications and a fully balanced/not stressed prepped engine for easy 420bhp motronic setup

From now on, i'll be posting some work to have a little work log.
Looking forward to be catching up on all other project treads on the forum !

Been some changes in plans through the years

I think this will be almost the setup :

3B block stress-honed
Stock 3B pistons with new rings/seals
Pauter H-Rods with ARP bolts
AAN head, not modified in/out yet
7A camshafts with internal adjustable cam gears
ABY stock camgear for OEM trigger
RS2 injectors, RS2 fuel rail & RS2 fuel pressure regulator
RS2 inlet manifoild
High output cast iron exhaust manifoild "RS2" Replica
KKK KX450 hybrid Turbo
Single mass flywheel (3B)
Sachs 707 pressureplate with 4puck Zinter
RS2 Air-filterbox with K&N filter
RS2 motronic with a custom "Tom Schmalz" 420BHP setup
034 Motorsport drop in fuel pump "044"
Stock wastegate with 2,2bar spring
R8 ignition coils with harness
3" Ferrita DP, Custom exhaust with 1000cells kat and 1 muffler.
The whole engine is balanced all together.

I also have a stock ABY engine to make the car matching numbers again

Still the stock brakes - because of the new requierments of the 2-year inspection for the goverment this is necesseary to still have plates on the car, if not specified with anything else in the system.

- But I have some parts ready for a bigger brake conversion ( urS6 front & back with TUV approved carriers ) , if its possible to get this written in the papers they will be mounted on the car.

A chipped RS2 might make 380bhp, what extra bits are you gonna do to make it make 420bhp ?
