Jeffer I don't know......yet, I have one,but the time I am taking to get things sorted, it'll be a while until I will know.

Probably best to ask someone like Albert who had one fitted for a while, but he has now gone to a larger GT42R I think??

Ok, you know any of his results? What are you shooting for?
I need to get a new turbo. So why not go larger
I think I want to supersize

The Gt35R in the ATP link should be good to 575bhp at 1.75+bar boost on our lump efficiently. Might just push to 600...

There is also a guy named Hap that drives a 93 S4 that has dynoed 400+hp to the wheels and that was before the bigger GT35R turbo and tube header like mine was put on. Here is a picture of his engine bay with new turbo and header.

            Elijah,

I didn't know Hap was going forward with his RS Tuning header. Last I heard was that he didn't think it could fit. Did he have to modify it or something? Is there a post somewhere about what he's doing? I haven't been following the S-Car forums lately.

If you build your car first then you can try both, is yours T3? water and oil coolled?

                Thanks,
                Ken,
Yep thats the same post I read. I guess he just had that extention pipe made to put the turbo in a better placement for his intake. I'm the only one thats had the problem of one of the tubes hitting the mounting bracket. I think the gt35r is plenty big for our engines and I don't see 600HP being a problem with this turbo that is as long as you do all the other things right to get any other restrictions out of the system. or unless
you just want a big number to post and don't care that your car doesn't get full boost until 5500rpm.

                  Robo,
yes my GT35R is a T3 hot side/volute (although ATP do a T4 for it too here) if you go for the GT42R I think they are T4 hot sides. They are all water and oil cooled, the lines are dead easy to make up from scratch using aeroquip type hosing and ends.

No excuse not to be using a "*very* good intercooler" these days, if you modding and chasing serious power.
Those BIG IC's (600x300x76mm) that a few of us have, can be had off of ebay for as little as £150 now and they can be fitted with the minimum of work and hassle really.

Is a T4 flange the same as my K27#7 hotside flange? I have the rectangular flange fdrom the KKK family. Looks like a T4 to me.
So the GT42R is good for +600 HP. But where will it be boosting?

Jeffer, don't know about the flanges but if you look in the Garrett Catalogue link above, it gives the dimensions for the flanges and volutes for each turbo which will help for comparison with your manifold flange.

From what I understand is that volutes means: that its a divider in the hotside intake.

Its referred to here it can be divided or single, and I think its the turbine exhaust gas inlet all the way up through the scroll to the turbine.

Try a Google search on turbo and volute.
