i decided that my cheap TSW wheels not longer fit on my restaurated s2 with brandnew tuned rs2 engine , so i searched for new ones .
today I ordered new wheels
BBS RX 17"

try to order these tyres but non available in 225 45 17
BRIDGESTONE RE540S Potenza

so i probably will order these :
Yokohama Proxes R888
anyone has experience with these ? or other sport tyres ?

Yes, i use Toyo Proxxes R888 for everyday use.Originally posted by area51-s2-belgiumi so i probably will order these :

They are quite stiff and noisy to drive with in regular traffic, but once out on the track, you have unlimited grip (it seems), and they do last a bit even with hard handling/use.
The sidewalls are extremly stiff and the compound are medium to hard mix i would guess. The "V-shaped" pattern also makes a lot of noise crusing in low speeds, and the handling on wet surface is not very impressive (but very very fun!). The braking is superior infact!
If you are after a comfy sport tyre i would not reckomend this, but if you are after a good grip/low price and legal tyre for clubsport/trackday use, i would reckomed it.
