Carew car dismantlers in Pembrokeshire. Feel free to give them a call 01646 651909. They are expecting £3.5k min for each car. They were insistent that the silver car was a Quattro. I politely asked them to show me the rear driveshafts. He had a look and said "oh, that's strange"

My thoughts exactly. I offered them £500 for the quattro. It's rotten but will have a few useful parts. There is a massive rats nest in the glove box

I'd say that's a fair offer in cash for the quattro given the state it's in, just looking at the the rust around the windscreen makes me wonder what else is lurking and the interior looks fit for a bonfire. Just out of curiosity do either of them run?

No. They have both been off the road for years.

In that case I think £500 was actually pretty generous, I'm sure it could be got running again but replacement K-jet parts are super expensive that's if you can even find them. I bet they paid no more than £150 a piece for them, that's if that if they didn't have to drag them out of a field, then they probably got paid to take them away.

I'd want a hazmat suit and respirator before venturing inside that red one. Not joking, rat poo can carry some really nasty stuff once it gets disturbed and airborne, one thing I learnt in the building trade.

I'm sure I saw both of them on a facebook post recently. They could both be saved but the money in fabrication alone would make it non viable unless you were able to do all the work yourself. They were also talking about silly money.
