Annoying it doesn't go to the exhaust phase, but very interesting to see the spark - or should that be multiple sparks, and actually quite a small flame front - was expecting more of a hollywood-style bang than that? Wonder what the engine was?

Very interesting and a shame it was only three strokes

Actualy, we had at school a ''glass'' engine. The cylinder was actualy made of thick glass and it could not be run very long. We could play with the timing to see what is going on when engine ''pings''. Was pretty cool! In the video, what you see is the flame front, by this I mean that when the spark plug ignites the mixture, it does not blows, it consumes. When it explodes, that's when you hear the ''ping'' and to be more precise, its the shock wave from resulting of the explosion and not combustion of one part of the mixture inside the cylinder that makes that particular sound, not that the piston is push soooo much that it knocks the rod and bla bla....
Cool would have been better to show the fulkl cycle - weird why they cut it interesting to see how much room there is to play with lift/dureation wise between high and low in both repsects

Would have liked to have been at your school and seen that.
