Yes, but sometimes the idea is just the fun factor.

IMHO one can have more fun with that amount of power in a 4WD car, with 1000+ HP you can powerslide a quattro or any 4WD car as well but also manage to be quick round a track.

But then the first and only go I had in a BMW E30 I did an unwanted 180 degree spin in a corner as I was used to driving my 90q.

Does sound a bit weird, reminds me of a cross between nitro and electric RC car. M3 CSL sounded very nice indeed though
